May 16--CEDAR FALLS -- Walden Photo will close its Cedar Falls location this week and consolidate the business with its Waterloo operation.
Wednesday is the final day for Walden Photo at 307 Main St. in Cedar Falls. The store will run its normal business hours that day. The store opened in Cedar Falls in 1989.
Mike Walden, co-owner of Walden Photo, said the consolidation is necessary as the company gets more into digital imaging. He said the company is starting to print pictures on more than 100 new products, such as blankets, pillows and dog tags.
