German exhaust systems supplier Eberspacher launched its North American business in 2000 with three employees and no contracts.
Now the company, which is based in Esslingen, Germany, has three North American factories, 600 employees, a technical center and a fistful of automaker business.
In the Automotive News list of Top 150 suppliers in North America published April 24, Eberspacher was the fastest-growing company in terms of percentage sales gains. The company entered the chart in 144th position with sales of $234 million in 2005, up 148.9 percent from the previous year.
