Philip Morris looks to increase share in mid-priced segment in Russia

MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) - Philip Morris International intends to increase its share on the Russian tobacco market's mid-price range segment and has redesigned the L&M brand to further this goal.

The L&M brand ranks first in terms of sales in Russia in the Philip Morris portfolio and second in sales throughout the world, Jan Billingham, manager for advertising in the mid-priced segment at Philip Morris Sales and Marketing, said at a press conference in Moscow on Wednesday. L&M sales throughout the world amounted to 106.2 billion cigarettes in 2005.
