For years, devotees of Our Lady Of Good Voyage commemorate the transfer of the Virgin Mary's image from Quiapo, where it was hidden during the Japanese occupation, to its original and permanent sanctuary at the Antipolo Cathedral, by walking from Quiapo Church to the Antipolo Cathedral.
Recently, "The Way of Mary" project, a network of 20 shrines, each featuring in bas-relief the 20 mysteries of the Holy Rosary, was built along the stretch of Ortigas Avenue from the EDSA Shrine to the Antipolo Cathedral. The Way of Mary will serve as the principal route for "Ang Banal na Paglalakbay", or what is known today as "Alay Lakad".
