NEW YORK -- Rodale Books announced today its agreement with New York Senator Charles E. "Chuck" Schumer to publish a book about democratic policies and strategies entitled "The 50 Percent Solution: Winning Back the Middle Class One Family at a Time." Leigh Haber, vice president and executive editor of Rodale Books, acquired the North American rights in a preemptive agreement from Arthur Klebanoff of the Scott Meredith Agency. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Publication of the book is expected in early 2007.
