Edinburgh-based Melrose Resources is pressing ahead with its drilling programme in the Southeast el-Mansoura concession in the Nile delta basin, the company announced on 21 April. Under the programme, the company will soon start drilling the Khilaia 2 appraisal well, while drilling is ongoing at the northeast Mit Dafir exploration well, which will be followed by drilling of two wells at Abu Khadra. A first appraisal well is also to be drilled at the West Dikirnis discovery, Melrose said. In addition, the company is in the process of completing processing of new 3D seismic data covering the eastern side of its EI-Mansoura concession. The announcement comes only days after ...
