Another easy-to-use compact digital camera from the HP stable
The R817 certainly isn't one of HP's cheapest cameras -- the [pounds sterling]99 Photosmart M22 takes that prize -- but it's well designed and packed with useful features.
The first thing you notice is its compact design. When in use, the camera's Pentax-designed lens extends outwards, but when you turn it off again the lens retracts, shrinking the overall size down to a device smaller than an iPod. The stainless steel case feels reassuringly rugged too.
