Article: GNSS & GALILEO: the Munich satellite navigation summit 2006 was held at the max-joseph-saal recently. Nearly 400 individuals from around the world attended to hear and participate in activities surrounding GNSS and the upcoming GALILEO satellite system.

With opening ceremonies in the Residenz Munchen, Prof. Dr. Guenter W. Hein of the Insititute of Geodesz and Navigation, University FAF of Munchen welcomed the crowd. Several ministeras of local and federal governments were in attendance including, Michael Glos, Federal Economics and Technology Minister--Berlin, Jorg Hennerkes, State Secretarz, Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs--Berlin among other space agency and related leaders.
