A MOTORIST was given two parking tickets after workmen painted a yellow line round her car.
Katharine Wells left her Vauxhall Astra in a residents' bay with her permit clearly on show. But when she retrieved the car two days later, she was shocked to find the yellow line painted alongside the vehicle - and two tickets on the windscreen.
Her experience mirrors that of Peter Holbrook who told the Evening Standard yesterday how double yellow lines were painted around his car in Leytonstone where it was legally parked while he was away on holiday.
Luckily for Miss Wells, shopkeeper Jo Taylor saw what had happened to her ...
