May 20--Congressional investigators are questioning the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's bioterrorism division about its oversight of a $3.8 billion grant program for state public health preparedness.
A rare whistle-blower has emerged from within the CDC and is working with investigators on the staff of U.S. Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, CDC officials acknowledged Friday.
