MCLEAN, Va., May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- USA TODAY remains the most widely read newspaper in the United States, according to the latest MRI findings. USA TODAY is read by more than 5.2 million people each day, leading its nearest competitor by 8.6% or 413,000 readers.
An average of 6.2 million people read either USA TODAY or USATODAY.com each day.
USA TODAY Sports Weekly's audience has also shown an increase. More than 2.8 million people read each issue of Sports Weekly, an increase of 8.7% over the Fall 2005 MRI findings.
