I stood under my first rainshower head in a Dallas hotel in 1998, and on the plane ride home I ordered two from the Skymall catalog. There weren't many of these things on the market then, but if last month's Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Chicago was any indication, every bathroom-fixture manufacturer now is offering at least one model.
