Jon Barfield, chairman and CEO of The Bartech Group Inc., was elected Wednesday to the Dow Jones & Co. (NYSE: DJ) board of directors.

Barfield, 54, has held the positions with the Livonia-based Bartech since 1995. The company was founded by his parents, John and Betty Barfield.
