VISITORS to Stafford's Victoria Park have raised a glass to celebrate 50 years of a popular feature.
Refreshments have been served at the tea bar, next to the bowling green, since 1956. It was opened 50 years ago on May 19 by Alderman H H Coghlan.
The tea bar, which sells a range of drinks, snacks and ice creams, is now run by Christine Simock and Geraldine Carr.
"I thoroughly enjoy working here, it's very relaxing coming to work," said Christine, who has worked at the tea bar for 20 years.
