Attention, family and friends of Eden Prairie senior Jennifer Riggs: She won't be needing any birthday presents this year.
She has already gotten the present she said she wanted most: a state lacrosse championship.
Riggs and her teammates got that championship Wednesday, the same day Riggs turned 18, as the Eagles defeated Totino-Grace 12-7 at Hopkins High School to win its third state championship in a row. From the beginning of the game, it was all Eden Prairie on offense. The Eagles scored three times in the first eight minutes of the game, leading to a timeout call by Totino-Grace coach Jason Schwalen.
