May 25--YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Despite having only three students and six teachers, Tom Monaghan's Ave Maria College will remain open this fall. The conservative Catholic philanthropist made the arrangement to keep the school open until 2007. In late 2002, authorities in Washtenaw County's Ann Arbor Township denied permission for an Ave Maria campus at Domino's Farms, where Domino's Pizza LLC is headquartered. Monaghan founded Domino's in 1960 and built it into a national chain before selling it for about $1 billion in 1998.
