Know this, first: There are no rules in beer.
For example: St. Patrick's Day is not the only day on which drinking a Guinness is acceptable.
And yes, you can drink an Octoberfest even if it isn't October.
Likewise, don't hesitate to reach for a wheat beer in the winter, spring or fall. It's OK.
But wheat beer is best in the summer.
To look at a wheat beer is to look at a bright, warm day, with a sunshiny lemon at the top of a glass. Wheat beers are, in general, crisp and refreshing, with a fruity sweetness that doesn't overpower -- it's not like drinking fruit ...
