May 28--KENT -- As infielder Brad Winter made his final swing at a Kent State rally, and Kyle Heyne's final pitch landed in the glove of his catcher, Ball State's dugout emptied as if there was a fire drill. The third-seeded Cardinals had a lot to celebrate Saturday afternoon. They had just completed their sweep through the Mid-American Conference Tournament and earned an automatic bid to an NCAA Regional.
