New York Life Insurance and Annuity says it is making a "strong move" into the charitable giving market.

The New York City subsidiary of New York Life has been writing products for charitable giving purposes for many years, points out Susan Moore, senior market management consultant, noting that the company concentrated on individual sales, using available products that included medical underwriting requirements.
