Alberta Energy Minister Greg Melchin said Tuesday he would support any moves by the new Canadian government to withdraw from the Kyoto Protocol.
Canada's Conservative Party won the national election Monday, ending more than 12 years of Liberal rule. Prime Minister-Elect Stephen Harper is expected to revisit the Kyoto Protocol on greenhouse gas emissions, which has been signed and ratified by Canada.
