May 29--Nine-year-old Andres Flores became the youngest member of the Tucson Sidewinders on Sunday night. Well, sort of. Flores was one of 48 youth baseball players from the Pascua Yaqui Tribe who worked out with Sidewinders players and coaches during a pre-game camp at Tucson Electric Park. Manager Chip Hale, hitting coach Lorenzo Bundy and six Sidewinders players guided the young athletes through hitting, pitching and fielding drills before the club's 6 p.m. game.
