May 29, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A warning has been issued in Australia about software prescribing systems used by doctors. The National Prescribing Service (NPS) says doctors often switch off or ignore the alerts about medicines on software prescribing packages. Stephen Phillips, of the NPS, says existing software packages often convey different messages about the side-effects of each drug.
