May 30--There were lots of American flags at Calvary Cemetery on Memorial Day. Big ones stuck on poles along the edge of the cemetery that holds hundreds of resting places of men who fought and died for their country. Little ones plunged into the ground next to grave markers. And one Stars and Stripes carefully folded into a triangle and carried to the cemetery by Gail Toerpe. Toerpe's flag is a bit yellowed around the edges but otherwise in good shape.
