Byline: MATT BORN
IT'S too early to say whether it marks the beginning of the end for the written word.
But the latest work by writer Brian Luff is seen as a milestone in the publishing industry.
Sex on Legs, a 75,000-word science fiction thriller, is the world's first audio-only novel.
Released this week, it will be available only as an online download or 'podcast' - audio broadcasts that can be saved on to iPods, MP3 players or mobile phones.
Until recently, audiobooks were seen very much as a sideline for publishers.
But the Internet has changed all that with the burgeoning popularity of podcasts raising the prospect of online bestsellers.
