Ten years ago, someone probably predicted that you'd be building with structural insulated panels by now. Chances are, you're not, and your competitors aren't either. Today. though, you may want to take a closer look at this emerging technology. According to Shari Bush, executive director of the Structural Insulated Panel Association, construction of houses using these products has jumped from a few hundred a year five years ago, to 5,000 a year now. Three recent studies add a little meat to lofty manufacturer claims.
