The trend for natural, renewable clothing could be the saviour of the struggling Welsh wool industry, according to Frank Langrish, chairman of the British Wool Marketing Board.
On a visit to the board's revamped super depot in Newtown, Powys, Mr Langrish said the benefits of wool as a natural, hard-wearing sustainable product could reverse a downward trend that is expected to cut prices for sheep farmers by 10% this year.
