WILMINGTON, Del., June 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DuPont today announced the launch of DuPont(TM) Optilon(TM) Advanced Composite Reflector (ACR), a new product designed to significantly improve the performance of liquid crystal displays (LCDs).

Optilon(TM) ACR allows better light utilization and color balance in displays, with lower overall display cost. Optilon(TM) reflectors are located in the rear of the display backlight, and reflect light to the front of the display with very high efficiency. Initial use of the product, now commercial, is in 32-inch diagonal LCD televisions.
