SAN FRANCISCO--The insurance industry has a "window of opportunity" to attack fraud while it's a hot issue, but the window won't stay open long, according to the head of the new Coalition Against Insurance Fraud.
"We all must seize this opportunity and strike now," Dennis Jay, executive director of the Washington-based coalition, told a recent insurance fraud seminar sponsored by the International Association of Special Investigation Units.
Describing his audience as the fraud fighters within their corporations, he urged them to "keep this effort alive. Focus your organization's energy on this campaign until we have an opportunity to win the battle."
