May 31--Retailers are adopting new strategies to revive consumer spending, including the promotion of low-cost house brands, store renovations and shifting to higher-margin products.
Carrefour plans to introduce more house brands to its shelves, while Robinson department store renovates its buildings, particularly in suburban locations where it sees the most sales potential. The Mall Group, meanwhile, recently launched a World Cup campaign and has shifted its focus to high-end electrical items.
