EVERGREEN -- When young Schylure Warner told his parents there was a mountain lion lurking in their yard and peering through his bedroom window, they were skeptical, believing their son's imagination was getting the best of him.
The next day, a mountain lion snatched the family's cat virtually from beneath the legs of Schylure's mom, Carrie Ann Warner.
She had stepped outside to investigate a noise on the porch. The cat ran through the open door and was grabbed by the mountain lion just feet from where the woman stood.
The predator fled with the cat after she threw firewood at the animal.
