Jun. 2--It ended Wednesday when a depleted Potomac State College pitching staff couldn't get out of the fourth inning before allowing 11 runs in a 13-3 loss to Yavapai (Ariz.) College that eliminated Keyser's Catamounts from the Junior College World Series. Yet as manager Doug Little sat in his seat on the somber, though scenic bus ride from Grand Junction, Colo., to the Denver International Airport, voyaging through Vail and rolling through the Rockies, he wondered if the end was just a brief pause in this process he's led the past several years.
He has, after all, taken the Catamounts to the JCWS in three straight seasons ...
