HARRISBURG, Pa., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The thought of it makes us cringe. A split lip, a broken tooth, a fractured jaw.
The Pennsylvania Dental Association (PDA) would like to protect athletes from these preventable injuries by offering some good advice during the sports seasons.
"Children at play is an accident waiting to happen," said Dr. Thomas E. Cressley, Jr., a PDA member dentist from Punxsutawney. "We as parents and caregivers can help to minimize injury to our children's teeth and the surrounding tissues by having them wear mouth guards."
