The Polymer Additives Division of Ferro Corp. (Independence, Ohio) has introduced five non-lead, mixed-metal heat stabilizers that are said to offer better performance than other commercially available alternatives to lead stabilizers. The products are further said to be cost-competitive with traditional lead systems.
Therm-Chek 7208P is a calcium-zinc powder stabilizer for high-temperature cable and wire applications, suitable for use in 105[degrees]C rated automotive and UL insulation products.
