Mobile phone signals are to be blocked in the examination halls of some universities in China this year, in an effort to prevent students cheating.
Mobile phone signals were blocked at the exam halls of universities and colleges in Heilongjiang, Liaoning and Shandong provinces in 2005 and further schools are intending to do the same this year. However concerns have been expressed that the devices used to scramble the signals, may have unhealthy side effects.
