Each month, we'll look at what area golfers are buying, as reflected by sales over the past 90 days at Fiddler's Green Golf Center, the highest-volume golf retailer in Oregon.
This month, we look at drivers, which outsell any other type of club by a 2-to-1 margin, according to Fiddler's Green general manager Alan Whalen. Even though the "hybrid" market is hot, Whalen said, "it's still a safe bet that all golfers are looking for more distance off the tee, and are always looking for the new driver to get them there."
