VIRGINIA BEACH -- BY JAMI FRANKENBERRY
THE VIRGINIAN-PILOT
VIRGINIA BEACH - It was a gem.
A three-hitter in what Kellam lefthander Sean Ray calls "probably the biggest high school game I've ever pitched in."
But after getting the final out with his 11th strikeout of the game, Ray strolled off the mound as if he had just tossed batting practice.
"Maybe it was shock," Ray said later, "that I pitched that well in a situation like that."
