CA CTO Mark Barrenechea is leaving to join private equity firm Garnett & Helfrich Capital where he will focus on expanding the firm's venture buyout business in Europe and Asia.
Barrenechea, who will be a director, had only been CA's CTO for four months, replacing Yogesh Gupta who shifted over to become senior VP of business development. He was previously responsible for product development and was reportedly involved in CA's $1.7 billion in acquisitions over the last 18 months.
