His May 24 hire by President Bush to the job most famously held by the Watergate-tarnished John Ehrlichman in the Nixon Administration seemed uneventful, because Zinsmeister had a solid "think tank" and conservative background as founder (1994)/editor-in-chief of the American Enterprise Institute's 27,000-circulation American Enterprise.
