Jun. 6--If you're reading this, everything's probably all right. The world didn't end in the hours after midnight. No need to worry that at least one online gambling site predicted there was a 10-to-1 chance that today, 6-6-06, would be the apocalypse. The folks who wrote the Book of Revelation about 1,900 years ago started this 666 business. In fact, one line in particular could be held responsible for the fear of 666. Revelation 13:18 in the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible reads: "Let anyone with understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a person. Its number is six hundred sixty-six."
