Jun. 6--Local RV and camper dealers say they expect recreational vehicles to continue rolling off their lots at a high rate despite persistently high gas prices. "Sales have been tremendous," said Randy Shipp, general manager of Shipps RV Center & Campground. "Business has increased."
The East Ridge dealership has experienced a 40 percent sales increase this season, Mr. Shipp said. He attributes the gain to his store joining a large national RV chain with extensive advertising, plus increased demand by aging baby boomers.
