Paul Roell, who spent the past 15 seasons as a scout for the Indianapolis Colts, has replaced John Fitzpatrick as a Vikings regional scout, the team revealed Monday as part of an announcement regarding its restructured scouting department.
Meanwhile, the Vikings re-signed their other nine scouts, whose contracts expired June 1. Team officials, including Rick Spielman, who heads the scouting department as the new vice president of player personnel, and Scott Studwell, the team's director of college scouting, declined comment.
