Basmati rice export to cross 10 LT mark second year in a row
New Delhi, June 6 (PTI) Basmati rice export is poised to cross one million tonne mark for the second consecutive year in 2005-06, a top APEDA official said today.
"Basmati export is once again poised to cross one million tonne in 2005-06," Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) Chairman K S Money told reporters here.
Till February 2006, basmati export had already crossed one million tonne mark and stood at 11.4 lakh tonne, which has been valued at Rs 2,775 crore.
