Jun. 7--Delafield -- Teachers in the Lake Country School District have agreed to changes in health insurance, retirement benefits for future teachers and a host of other measures as part of a new two-year contract.
In exchange, the teachers will receive a 3.82% salary boost for the 2005-'06 school year and 3.37% the following year, said Robert Butler, a staff attorney with the Wisconsin Association of School Boards, who negotiated on behalf of the Lake Country School Board. Combined with benefit increases, Lake Country teachers' total compensation package is expected to rise by 4.54% in the first year and by 4.6% in 2006-'07, ...
