MEPs adopted a report on the 2007-13 Marco Polo II programme (promoting intermodality in transport) by Reinhard Rack (EPP-ED, Austria) in a plenary session in Strasbourg on 17 May. They introduced a series of amendments to the Commission's initial proposal. The new version will soon head to the Council of Ministers for approval.
Agreement is expected to be finalised without a second reading under the codecision procedure being needed.
