Issue People infected with HIV can develop psychiatric problems that range from minor cognitive motor disorder (MCMD) to HIV-associated dementia (HAD). While drug therapy has reduced the incidence of these disorders, the risk of developing MCMD or HAD is still high for those without access to proper healthcare.
