The German Federal Ministry of Research has initiated a new project entitled Identification and Assessment of the Effects of Engineered Nanoparticles on Human and Environmental Health (INOS). Its goal is to investigate the effects of nanoparticles on human health and the environment at the early research and development stage. The INOS research project is planned for a three year period and has received government financial support of over 1 million Euro.
