School officials in Naperville and Gurnee remain interested in discussing whether it's a good idea for board members to accept teachers union campaign contributions.
Although the circumstances were different, teachers union contributions to board members created debate almost simultaneously in March at Naperville Unit District 203 and Gurnee-based Woodland Elementary District 50.
Two Woodland board members voted in favor of a new teachers contract, despite having financial and personal ties to the union.
District 50 board President Carla Little said the issue is worth discussing in a policy committee meeting. ...
