Jun. 7--Erie County soon will have a Washington lobbyist onboard.
The money for the lobbyist is part of a revised economic-development budget that Erie County Council adopted Tuesday night.
The county is expected to hire Artemis Strategies under a one-year contract for $66,000, effective July 1.
The county has the right to terminate the contract after six months if county officials aren't satisfied, according to Sean D. Wiley, the county's director of administration.
Wiley said the lobbyist is needed.
