Brodart Co. and Companion Corporation have announced the release of a Macintosh based interface with Brodart Automation's Precision One Cataloging System and Alexandria.
The interface enables librarians to perform retrospective conversion in a matter of a few days for less than 1,000 using Alexandria's CD-ROM Server and the information on the Brodart Precision One CD with a Macintosh and a compatible CD-ROM reader.
For libraries with no automation system, the Alexandria CD Server provides batch processing of records with minimal information. For example, a librarian would input the Title, Author and LCCN or ISBN for items. Then, in the evening, the ...
