There will be no Michelle Wie-driven media circus at Emerald Valley Golf Club today, but there will be plenty of talent on display when 25 golfers chase one U.S. Open spot at the sectional qualifier in Creswell.
The first of today's two 18-hole rounds begins at 7 a.m., and the afternoon round is scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. There is no admission charge for the event.
Today's winner at Emerald Valley qualifies for the year's second major, set for June 15-18 at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y.
